It all began in 1987 when Taylor recorded a throw away track from a record company and that song was what shot her to super stardom.  In 1988 Taylor's debut single "Tell It To My Heart" shot to #7 on the USA charts and went TOP 10 in Australia and it ended up going #1 in 5 countries around the world and also sold over 1 million copies not bad for a debut single.

Taylor's success with the single even took her by shock and with this new found fame they needed an album A.S.A.P.
Taylor's debut album was made in a mere 6 weeks and that alone is amazing, the album was also tilted "Tell It To My Heart".  The 2nd single "Prove Your Love" also stormed the charts worldwide and reached #7 in the USA and Taylor was huge through-out Germany at this time and in 1988 she was "Artist Of  The Year" in Germnay.  Taylor while recording the album did not want to record a ballad but Arista boss "Clive Davis" asked her to record the song "I'll Always Love You" and she did and turned out to be another big success as 3rd single to hit the USA TOP 10 peaking at #3.  The album was a worldwide success and even the 4th single "Don't Rush Me" reached even higher in the USA and peaked at #2 and the album ended up selling over 2 million copies alone in the USA.  For a debut artist Taylor Dayne was know a huge success and she made a great debut album...

6.  Do You Want It Right Now

Dance Dance Dance...this album is a great dance album and this song really makes you wanna go for the dancefloor...This is very 80's, but Taylor lets it rip specially mid-way through with some great backing vocals Taylor tears it up!
7.  Carry Your Heart

A ballad and Taylor really pours her heart out on this one, this is a great song and Taylor sings it like an angel. Thie verses are very deep vocally with senual lower tones before Taylor glides right up into her high notes into the chorus. Tough song to sing but Taylor makes it sound easy.
8.  Want Ads

This is a real 80's classic dance song, great fun.
9.  Where Does That Boy Hang Out

An absoloute pop gem!  This is sensational, fierce vocals, fast beats and such a great pop song. Taylor Rocks!
10.  Upon The Journey's End

This is actually a duet with "Billy.T.Scott" and this is a great closer for the album, a power ballad and Taylor really shines with this duet...their voices are a great match. This is almost an acoustic track with very rich R & B vocals through-out.

Style wise this is a very unique Taylor tune.
