Taylor had conquered the charts worlwide with her first 2 albums and when it came to making her 3rd solo album, Taylor went to her record company boss "Clive Davis" and said she wanted to learn how songs were really written and produced and really wanted to push her creative side to the limit. She took a 3 year creative hiatus to make this album. In 1993 she released the album titled "Soul Dancing".
Fans had to wait a long time for this album but it was worth the wait. This album includes disco, dance, soulful ballads and soulful rock tunes. This album has it all plus the amazing vocals make for a great album.
Interesting Fact:
Most people may not know that "Soul Dancing" was actually going to be originally titled "Trust". The artwork for the cover had even been completed but at the last minute they recalled the album and changed the title.

Taylor co-wrote 7 of the tracks from the album and also produced on the album so she really opened the creative side and made a great album. This album features the huge smash hit "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love" which went USA #20 and in Australia peaked at #2 and was the 19th highest selling song of 1993 and the album also went gold in Australia peaking at #3 on the album charts. "Soul Dancing" sold over 500,000 copies alone in the USA .

This is a fast moving disco tune that glides along with Taylor wailing away. She knows how to sing dance songs perfectly, could've have easily been a single.

This is a soulful rock song. Dance With A Stranger is raw, powerful and full of emotion and Taylor nails this with her vocal stomp. She takes this to heaven and back one of her greatest vocals ever and this is a favourite among many fans...A Highlight!

Taylor sings this so easily, she glides along her vocal range effortlessly making this soulful rock track perfection.

10. Memories
Co-written by Taylor and this is a beautiful written song with some wonderfully written lyric's. One part of the verse Taylor sings "Looking in the mirror trying to put on a face of someone who is happy, someone who is strong..." Beautiful
11. If You Were Mine
Another soulful power ballad, Taylor also co-wrote this track. This is a great ballad that shows off that soulful voice.
12. Let's Spend The Night Together
This is a sultry and sexy soulful ballad and this is a great song. This was not inlcluded on the USA version of the album, but in Australia it was on the album and it really is just a great Taylor song.
