Keiron's review...
Melbourne, Australia Nov 2003
Well l for me the experience started on the Thursday night when Troy and I saw Taylor at the "Palace" in the suburb of St Kilda. We got there just as Taylor came on stage and started "With every Beat of My Heart". We manoeuvred our way to the front for a really good possy and rocked the night away. I was very suprised, I have to admit that even though I like "Naked Without You" I was not the biggest fan of her early stuff, but when she started singing I realised just what Troy has been talking about all these years. That woman can sing!! So Thursday night was just an appertizer, after walking out of there my mind was just going around and around in circles, disbelief that I had just seen her and that she was soooo good.
So along came Friday night at the "Crown" and with me still reeling from the night before and the excitment of the upcomning show was starting to build and the expectation of actually meeting her was something I found too good to be true, but guess what; IT HAPPENED.
I gotta say that even though unexpected her show Friday night was better than Thursday, hard to believe I know but there you go. It is so hard to believe that after 15 years she is still able to hit all those notes and shake the booty with the best of them. Then to meet her and find out she's not only a fabulous performer she's a lovely wonderful person too, its a little intimidating but she's the type of person who will put you at ease and just act human not like a "Star".
I can honestly say that the last 2 nights have been the best of my life and I have a new appreciation for her earlier work. My favourite song of both nights was when she did "Prove You Love", Taylor and her backup singers/dancers rocked the stage and the entire room, made you feel like dancing.
Thank you Taylor for giving me the opportunity to enjoy you and your music. It was fantastic and I look forward to seeing you again in the future.
