In 1998 Taylor released her 4th studio album titled "Naked Without You" on her own recording label and this was a long wait for many Taylor fans it took 5 years for a new full length album. But as many fans discovered this was worth the wait also, Taylor had total control over the music and songs and she poured her heart and soul into this album much like "Soul Dancing" in 1993. I think with each song on this album you can hear the work and effort behind the album, the most amazing change was Taylor's vocals. She really set out to sing a song using the knowledge of how to use her voice best and the result is outstanding.
Every song on the album has a different sound there is the sexy "Whatever You Want", the raw power rock on "Whenever You Fall" and even an acoustic sounding ballad sung with an angelic voice "Soon As My Heart Breaks".
The album was not released overseas due to record company problems, so if you live overseas it is available as an import title.
This album contains the single "Unstoppable" and the Billboard dance hit single "Naked Without You" which is a ballad but the remix was a major dance success...

1. Don't Make Me Love You
Don't Make Me Love You is a very emotional ballad and the vocals are pleading the way Taylor sings this.
2. Whenever You Fall
This is one of Taylor's best written songs and also the best vocal she has done. This is such an impressive song it is up there with "Shelter" it is rock, powerful and Taylor takes this to new heights...An amazing performance
3. Unstoppable
Funky and fun , Taylor describes this 1st single as her version of the Prince song "kiss". In the bridge of this song Taylor does a Mariah Carey like scream which proves what her vocal range can do. Unstoppable is the only single from the album with a music video.
4. Naked Without You
When Taylor churns out a ballad she can make you believe every word she sings. This song is so strong, written perfectly and Taylor's vocals are brillant.
Taylor liked this song so much as it said I miss you in a different way by saying I'm Naked Without You was a different way of saying I'm missing you. It really appealed to her lyrically.
The remix which is a real in your face dance version was a smash hit on the Billboard Dance charts and Taylor re-sung the vocals for the remix and she just gave it some real power, the remix and the way she sings it gives you chills, she never lets up on the power and she just sets the song on fire...
Turn the remix up loud and listen to Taylor's sheer power.

5. Whatever You Want
Taylor actually wrote this song for her 3rd album "Soul Dancing" but when she played it for her record company they didn't think it was strong enough for the album. Then in 1996 Tina Turner recorded this song and it was a massive European smash hit charting all throughout Europe and even reaching # 1. This gave Taylor a great thrill. Then when it came time to record Naked Without You, Taylor recorded her song the way she wanted to sing it, very sensual, sexy & it is a great song.

6. Stand
This is a real uplifting dance floor song. Great lyric's and once again Taylor is the diva of dance.
7. You Don't Have To Say You Love Me
A Cover of the Dusty Springfeild hit and Taylor gives it her magic touch. A beautiful version. Taylor was considering other possible covers including 'How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" which later appeared on her Live CD however it was You Don't Say You Love Me that ended up making the album.
8. Love's Gonna Be On Your Side
This is a highlight on the album this is a great pop song. This is so catchy and Taylor's vocals are in top form. Co-written by Taylor and Robbie Nevil this is a favourite among fans.
9. Dreams
This is not like anything Taylor has ever recorded before. A ballad sung softly and tenderly and she holds all of that power back and makes this sound genlte but the result is a gorgeous song also co-written by Taylor.
10. There Is No Heart That Won't Heal
This is a power ballad written by Dianne Warren. Taylor really works the vocal from the start as she builds it bigger & bigger into each chorus and the bridge is some of her greatest singing. This one is great!
11. Soon As My Heart Breaks
Another song that is unlike anything Taylor has recorded before. This is simply backed by piano and is acoustic, Taylor uses her huge vocal range and hits the high notes with such emotion you feel every word...Emotional
12. Whatever You Want (Remix)
This is turned up to turbo speed and this is real dance and fast and Taylor knocks it outta the ballpark...Taylor On Fire!
