It's official that Taylor is competing in Series 3 of the CMT reality series "Gone Country". The series has just wrapped it's 2 week filming and will premiere January 2009.
CMT has announced the cast for the third season of Gone Country, including George Clinton, Sheila E., Taylor Dayne, Micky Dolenz of The Monkees, Richard Grieco and American Idol runner-up Justin Guarini. John Rich will return as the show's host when it premieres in January. (It's currently being filmed in Nashville in November 2008)
Past Gone Country winners include Julio Iglesias Jr. and Sebastian Bach.
A little about the series:
Gone Country uproots these seven musical celebrities and moves them into a Nashville mansion together to embark on a two-week adventure, hosted by singer-songwriter John Rich. Each celebrity will be paired up with some of Nashville's finest songwriters in an attempt to prepare them for a career in country music. In each episode, the cast competes against each other in challenges that will test them musically and physically to adapt to a country music lifestyle, both on and off the stage. At the end of the two weeks, the artist who is most prepared to impress a country audience, as determined by Rich, will record and release a song.

Taylor Dayne Annouces 2011 Australian Tour
Taylor has just announced she will be touring Australia for the first time in 7 years since November 2003.
Taylor Dayne confirms she will tour Australia in October 2011.
New Single: Floor On Fire - Press Release [June 2011]
Taylor Dayne's brand new single, "Floor On Fire“ combines the iconic singer's big voice and the latest sounds to form an explosive blend. The song was written by Taylor Dayne in conjunction with Swedish songwriters Niclas Kings and Ivar Lisinski as well as Tania Doko from Australia. Hit producers such as The Thin Red Men, Marc Lime & K-Bastian or Zoned Out chipped in perfect mixes especially suitable for the European, British and international audiences. The single contains a total of eight different versions and will be released worldwide in all online stores on June 22nd.
Promotion will be mainly focused on Europe, Great Britain and the United States. Like earlier hits by Taylor Dayne “Floor On Fire” is a driving dance song with an extremely catchy tune and the singer, once again, hit the nail right on the head.
Taylor Dayne stands out as one of music's most dynamic artists. Her unique vocal style has earned her numerous best-selling gold and platinum albums, which produced seventeen Top 20 singles, among them number 1 hits such as "Tell It To My Heart", "Love Will Lead You Back" & "Prove Your Love To Me". During the course of her career, she has sold more than 75 million albums and singles worldwide, garnered three GRAMMY nominations and appeared in many film, television and stage roles such as “Love Affair” or “Cold Case”. A while ago the single mother took an extended break, as she dedicated herself to raising her two kids Levi and Astaria. However in 2008, she came back with her album ,"Satisfied", co-penning the songs with major platinum selling writers Mike Mangini (Baha Men, Digable Planets, O-Town, Bruce Hornsby etc.), Peter Wade (Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Natasha Bedingfield etc.), the New Radical's Gregg Alexander and Rick Nowels (Stevie Nicks, Madonna, Nelly Furtado, Santana etc.). “Satisfied” enjoyed great success in the USA, immediately positioning its single "Beautiful" at Billboard's # 1 slot and producing two other top ten singles, “Over My Head” and “My Heart Can Change”. The international release excluded Europe and the U.K. which is the reason that the album is not known in these areas.
Co-writing Tina Turner's hit “Whatever You Want” made Taylor Dayne's mark as a prolific songwriter also. Together with Macho Psycho (Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Pink, Whitney Houston etc.) she recently penned several songs for international artists to be released in the near future.
Rolling Stone Magazine readers voted Taylor Dayne as the number one choice to replace Paula Abdul on American Idol.
In 2009 Taylor Dayne contributed songs to the “Sex And The City 2” hit movie and in 2010 she delivered a breathtaking spectacular in Cologne when she performed “Facing A Miracle”, the official anthem of the “Gay Games VIII. Cologne”, live at the opening ceremony which ended in a five minute standing ovation.
