1. With Every Beat Of My Heart

This was the lead single and was a pure dance song with Taylor looking sexy as ever in the video and a big smash hit in the USA peaking at #5. This was also the video that first showed Taylor's brand new Blonde hair that at the time made a big splash in the media.

3.  Love Will Lead You Back

Her first USA #1 hit and this is now considered her signature song which is what she will usually sing for an encore at her concerts.  Written by Dianne Warren this was actually give to Whitney Houston but she said it was not quite right for her so Taylor took this song and made it a success!

4.  Heart Of Stone

I have always thought this song was a gem, the vocals are so smooth as taylor glides up and down her vocal range with ease and then goes into top gear in the middle and this has a great sax solo and Taylor brings it home in Taylor style.

The 4th smash hit from the album peaking at USA #12.
US Billboard Top 100 1990 #12

5.  You Can't Fight Fate

This is rock Taylor giving it the Taylor vocal stomp.  She nails this song and it goes outta the ballpark.  Taylor can sing so many different styles and this is another perfect pop rock song. Also the title track from the album and could have easily been a single.
6.  Up All Night

Up All Night is a cracking dance song and is the fastest song on the album. Right from the start Taylor tears this up vocally and the beat thunders along effortlessly. This was actually chosen as the 5th single from the album and a Remix was even released and can be found on Ebay from time to time on Vinly. Extremely rare item. Taylor's label Arista decided though they were happy with 4 Smash Hit Singles and decided not to release any further singles.
7.  I Know The Feeling

This is a very powerful ballad with a strong chorus. It's a great track from the album and Taylor really gives it some soul. This is a popular favourite among fans.
8. Wait For Me

This a pop song and flows along nicely, this is definately a lighthearted pop song and was also the B-Side to Heart Of Stone. Can't Fight Fate as an album works together so strongly that Taylor does not step one foot wrong, every song has a purpose and they all work together to create one of the best albums of the Decade that was the 80's.
9.  You Meant The World To Me

WOW! This is co-written by Taylor and this is a sign of how good her writing skills are, this is a dance thumper and Taylor churns out a powerhouse performance never letting up.  Enjoy the vocal journey...One of her best!
10.  Ain't No Good

As a closer to an album it does not get any better the powerful Ain't No Good which was also the B-Side to the #1 Love Will Lead You Back.

Co-Written by Taylor also this song stands the test of time and there is nothing B-Side about this track. Many fans have said this is still one of their all time favourite Taylor songs & it is with me also.

Ain't No Good could have easily been a single. Taylor starts off singing the verses incredibly low which is unusual as she tends to go full throttle then she starts going up & up higher & higher vocally and into the big Chorus. It's a rock edged track and really showcases her skills as a singer.

This is a great closer to a perfect album of great pop music.
